London is a truly great city - it's Europe's largest, and one of the richest in the world - so it's no surprise that there's lots going on, lots to see, and lots of different options. With so much to see, one of the great difficulties is working out what you can manage and how to best go about seeing it all.
Three Days to See has been constructed to allow you to take in and make much more of London. We do this by plotting out some of the best routes to string together many of the most famous sights - as well as giving you a few hints on some of the lesser known, but equally special treats.
The Three Route Plans on this site can easily occupy you for a whole day each, or more - but if you just walk them quickly they'll probably each take somewhere around an hour. Stretch out visits to the featured attractions over a few days and you could easily fill a week, or more if you're into shopping!
London is one of the most filmed cities in the world - so many of its sights are familiar, even if you've never been here before. Also sporting or royal events have presented some of London's grandest features to the world, so as you walk around you may feel as if you're surrounded by old friends.
There are something like 3.5 million tube journeys every day by those in London, but it's not the only way of getting around - often walking can be quicker, more pleasant (if the weather's on your side) and more rewarding as you'll end up seeing interesting places and things in between the sites you planned to visit.
Green space covers almost 40% of the area of Greater London, so though there may be many dominant buildings, there's also opportunity for relaxing in parks and squares too.
Get a flavour of the city with the four feature Videos - Travel, Sights, Entertainment, and Shopping. Plan out your days with the Three route plans and associated commentaries, and check out some useful and quirky information in the Info section.
Visit the souvenir shop too, with imaginative products inspired by London.
Enjoy your discoveries!
